Ray Baliel Mallard Drake

Super rare and stylish mallard drake by Ray Baliel (Rio Vista, CA) ca. 1940s. Balsawood body with sugar pine head and in service repaint by the maker. This exact decoy is pictured on page 393 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. Baliel decoys are highly prized by California collectors and they rarely come available. Measures approximately 14” in length.
