Mason Premier Black Duck Special Order

This is a very rare and early special order solid body premier black duck from the Mason Decoy Company (Detroit, MI) ca. 1890. Slope breasted with snakey head style. Original paint with a tail chip repair, neck filler replacement and small check on left side of head. The beautiful subtle paint and graceful sculptural appeal makes this rare example a true beauty. Measures 15” in length.
