Mason Company Premier Mallard Hen

Paint is moderately worn and all original on this early snakey head premier grade mallard hen from the Mason Decoy Company of Detroit, MI ca. 1900. The head is loose. There is no tail chip. The tip of the bill has been chewed by a puppy. The paint appears to have been protected by a very old coat of varnish or shellac. Measures nearly 18” in length.
