John McLoughlin Pintail Pair

Stunning hollow carved pintail pair by John McLoughlin (Bordentown, NJ). Both are in excellent and all original paint and signed by the maker on the bottoms. The drake has an interesting decal on the bottom that is also signed by the artist who drew the image. The hen has the original purchase receipt from McLoughlin to the buyer, located in Beverly Hills, CA dated 1981 and indicating this to be the first pintail hen on a new pattern. The drake measures 21” in length and the hen is 17”. A striking pair for the decoy shelf.
