Jack Smith Mallard Hen

Solid carved redwood mallard hen by Jack Smith (Sacramento, CA) ca. 1930s. From his personal hunting rig and used at the Anchor Gun Club in Colusa County. Very similar to the example shown on page 549 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. Likely in a working second coat of paint by the maker. Measures just over 15” in length.
