Gus Moak Canvasback Drake

Wonderful hollow carved canvasback drake by Gus Moak (Tustin, WI) ca. 1920s. Paint appears good and original with minor remnants of an overpaint that was removed on the back. The decoy black lights clean with no indications of repaint or repair. There is a shine to the surface that I suspect is a wax or shellac. Note the old tail chip. Measures just over 19” in length. This decoy was pictured on an article on Moak in a previous issue of Hunting and Fishing Collectibles Magazine.
