Bud Peters Mallard Drake

Original paint on this mallard drake by Bud Peters and the Nicky Decoy Company (Fairfield, CA) ca. 1930s. Constructed of palm frond for the body. See pages 486-488 or Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. It appears the rounded bottom was cut off some time ago. Measures 14.5” in length.
