Bud Altenbern Pintail Pair

Certainly the nicest pair of pintails by Bud Altenbern (Napa, CA) that I’ve offered. Paint is excellent and all original. Solid carved redwood with sugar pine heads circa 1940s. The hen has a stable neck crack. Altenbern was a welder at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA). Each measures 17” in length. See page 126 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller.
