August "Gus" Dogali Pintail Pair

Excellent and all original paint and condition on this classic pintail pair by August “Gus” Dogali (Oakland, CA) ca. 1940s. Constructed of cork for the bodies, sugar pine for the heads and stuffed and sewn canvas for the tails. Paint was applied at the Scott Cork Decoy Company. See page 250 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. Each measures approximately 17” in length.
